Secret Life is an original story made by me recently, no plans on writing it at the moment, though.
Story
The story starts off with two boys, Jake and Carlos, who live in California. While exploring a power plant, radiation waves are released into the area, which mutate the DNA in Jake and Carlos, giving them super powers. They soon discover these abilities, then plan to use them for good as heroes to their town. While trying to stop a bank robbery during school hours, a fellow schoolmate sees them go into action and plans to reveal their secret identities. However, she is soon talked into joining them, to continue doing good to the world.
Characters
Jake Manson: Leader of the group, a real fighter for the good, however he often believes that he is able to handle a situation in any way if it's for the good. He gains the power of energy generation, so he calls himself Power Pulse.
Carlos Sanchez: Jake's best friend, originally from Mexico. He's a little more careful about handling a situation, so he often tries reasoning with Jake when he goes too far. He gains a split personality from the radiation, which is a little less careful, and a whole lot more destructive. His split personality has super speed, whereas he has super strength. In either form, he calls himself Dos.
Sarah Smith: Not exactly a close friend to either Jake or Carlos, but she is welcome to their group as a friend. She is strong and has good quality as a leader, making her a good rival to Jake. She has no powers of her own, however, she is skilled in martial arts and gymnastics, so she helps them with her common strength and limber reflexes. Her name as a heroine is Acrobat.
The Shark Fin Gang: A street gang who get their name from being surfing bullies. On sea, they completely crash their fellow surfers. On land, they defend their territory on the streets, near the old power plant. They were in the power plant area during the time the radiation waves went out, so they were also affected by it. How they are affected is yet to be known, though…
Facts
- Carlos' superhero name, Dos, coming from the Latin (or Spanish?) word for 'Two', was originally meant to be 'Zero', and 'Uno'. However, Dos matched his split personality better.
- Before Sarah joins the group, they had no professional disguises, which is how she knew who they were. However, once she joined them, she designed costumes for each of them, which are both similar and different from each other.
- Each of the group has a special symbol which represents their superhero names. Power Pulse's is what looks like an hourglass-shape, with a P-shaped symbol in the middle. Dos' is a square symbol with a circle in the middle, and a black diamond shaped in the middle of that. Acrobat's is a simple half-circle with an A in the middle, with a small B in the middle of that. The symbol each team member has on their sleeves looks like a Z formed with two 7's. Each symbol they have matches their names in some way. The team symbol, however, has yet to be described.
- The entire story was inspired by the song "Secret Life," performed by Subdigitals. The song is more than likely directed to Code Lyoko; It tells of a group who saves the world in a superhero double-life, also mentioning a virtual place, which is similar to the plot of Code Lyoko (Even though the song implies it in a different way.)
