DVD Review - Sonic The Hedgehog: The Complete Series

The special SatAM series DVD set.

Sonic The Hedgehog: The Complete Series
Type: Cartoon
Special: Complete Collection

What Is It?

Sonic The Hedgehog is a long-time running series of video games, comics and TV series. This set in particular is of the 80s cartoon simply titled "SatAM" by the fans for the fact that it aired on Saturday mornings. Like a lot of old cartoons, this is a complete set. Four DVD's featuring two seasons of 26 episodes, a must-have for nostalgic fans.

Quality

Quality is, as you might say, TV quality. It doesn't seem all that digitally restored, but it's better than VHS episodes which lower in quality the more you use them.

Features

Of all things, this set comes with DVD cases that display artwork by many fans, a lot of which you can actually see on DeviantART, including one by my friend Spax3.

Extras

Each DVD comes with its own set of interviews and hidden bonuses, which include extra interviews by Jaleel White. Currently, I don't have the list with me, so you'll have to figure them out on your own.

Worth It?

Any Sonic fan or nostalgic fan will definitely love to own this DVD set. It's normally $39.99 in most places, but I managed to buy it at Walmart for $19.99. If you're willing to pay that much for it, then it's worth it, so go ahead and check it out.

Related Products

Among other things, one set you can buy is the complete Sonic Underground DVD set, featuring all of the episodes from SatAM's 'spinoff'. Most people find that series to be very cheesy, but I know some people would love to check it out.

Overall

Overall, once more, if you're a nostalgic fan, check it out, I'm sure it would be a nice addition to your collection.
