I'll say upfront, 3D printing is somewhat different for me compared to other art - I don't normally wanna take requests, however you can submit something to this Google Doc and I can think about it. No promises.

If you're interested in a commission then we can talk, but if it gets to be too complicated, or is a too complex design for me to work with, I might need to decline. I'm mostly doing this as a hobby that fills a specific niche I wanna fill.

When I started 3D printing, I would post content onto my Shapeways shop, the SO-DO Shack. However, it's much easier to post things in bulk over to the following sites:

The content posted to Cults is largely just automatically imported from the Thingiverse account, however anything with a price will be exclusive to Cults.

Tools

Modeling: I am currently limited to FreeCAD, a free program that seems to mainly be used for parts modeling, however I've managed to find enough use in it for toy-related things. I would like to move onto something like Blender for more elaborate pieces.

Printer: When it comes to printers, I am using one of the cheaper ones, Flashforge Finder Lite. It's limited to printing things that are 5.5 inches in size all around, and can only print with PLA, the standard plastic used in 3D printing. It's nothing fancy but gets the job done. The program I am currently using is FlashPrint, which is made for FlashForge products.

Filament: I'm not entirely consistent on brand of filament, however I've had some recently good results from the filament made by Labists. It feels just a little soft, a little more flexible than what I'd been using previously. Also Geeetech for their grey filament, which comes in a quite large spool - good for prototyping.

How to print otherwise

If you don't have a printer, or know anyone who does, there are options available. Shapeways allows you to upload a .stl file - the standard 3D print file - to get a price quote and add it to cart. Their current site layout has it as a red button at the top right of the page called "GET A QUOTE" which leads to this link. Please be aware that you should only use this to add to cart and not attempt to upload anything to Shapeways itself.

When looking at creations on Thingiverse, there should be a tab above the description which is called "Apps", which will list a few different services that can print the item you're viewing.

Apart from that, you can find other similar services through Google, Etsy, etc. Compare to find what works best for you.
